Yanukovych about walking around Rostov: It’s as if I’m walking in Donetsk - “hello, hello”
Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych admitted today at a press conference in Moscow that he feels in Rostov as in Donetsk.
He stated this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why not open a polling station in Rostov, which is full of Ukrainians. I sometimes go out for a walk, as if I were walking in Donetsk: hello, hello. In Rostov today, everywhere you look there are Ukrainians. Why not show kindness to people who dream of returning to their native land,” Yanukovych said.
According to him, at first Ukrainians in Rostov blamed him for what happened in Ukraine, but then they stopped.
“It’s impossible to talk to them: tears well up. I've heard enough of all sorts of accusations. But now we understand that we are on an equal footing. In fact, we were expelled from our native land - people who brought so much benefit to the state,” Yanukovych said.
Previously, the media reported that Yanukovych actually lives not in Rostov, but in the Moscow region.
