Yanukovych explained why he did not help the Donbass resistance

Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that he left the territory of Ukraine only with hand luggage.

“Not a single cent of my money has been found in any bank in the world. I didn’t take anything out of Ukraine except personal luggage,” Yanukovych said at a press conference in Rostov-on-Don.
According to him, all his savings remained in accounts at Sberbank-Ukraine. Therefore, he had no opportunity to dispose of them.
“I could not finance the resistance in Donbass. If I could manage my money, I would spend it on helping people,” Yanukovych said.
