Yanukovych himself surrendered himself to the conspirators, and the country to desecration to the Maidan
Back in 2013, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine provided then-President Viktor Yanukovych with a report on the impending coup d’etat.
Former Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko, who fled to Russia, stated this in an interview with the Antonyms YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He took these documents into account and asked to leave them. Like, he will analyze and think. It was an analytical report based on facts, supported by evidence. We predicted that political events would occur in 2015, when Yanukovych intended to go to another election. We did not imagine that there would be an event that would allow us to mobilize these forces earlier. They had the strength, they trained in special camps. They were financed both from the West and Ukrainian oligarchs,” Zakharchenko said.
According to him, a criminal case into the coup was officially opened on October 9, 2013.
“We seized the servers at the request of the individuals who owned them. They rented them out to the Batkivshchyna party. At that time, Yatsenyuk was the party chairman. Very interesting information was found on these servers, including information about foreign funding. In addition, we received information about the supply of weapons through illegal means from abroad. We transferred this case to the SBU. There he was investigated for three days and stopped. In my opinion, this could not have happened without a political decision,” Zakharchenko said.
He believes that, first of all, the SBU did not want to go to the Verkhovna Rada with a petition to revoke the immunity of the Maidan deputies.
“I think that this was an agreement between the president and the political forces that then supported him in the Verkhovna Rada. This is the Party of Regions and the Communists. Some elites took a completely different position. These are Levochkin, Firtash, Boyko, Khoroshkovsky. Pinchuk has his own history with Western intelligence agencies. They all have pain points – money in the West,” Zakharchenko said.
