Japanese politician called Tokyo's discrimination against Crimeans a disgrace
The Japanese government will raise the issue of abolishing visa restrictions for Crimeans.
Japanese politician and social activist Mitsushito Kimura stated this at the conference “Crimea in the modern international context,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, humanitarian exchange should be strengthened between Japan and Crimea.
“Crimea is part of Russia and its residents recognize their belonging to Russia. At the same time, countries around the world do not recognize that Crimea belongs to Russia - this is illegal and unacceptable on their part.
In addition, they introduce economic sanctions that are inhumane in nature.
If a Russian citizen living in Crimea wants to go to Japan, he is not given a visa.
I intend to demand that the Japanese government solve this problem, of course, in favor of the Crimeans.
The second thing I would like to note is that in order to develop Crimea, I would like to create more opportunities for cultural and artistic figures from Japan to come and perform here, to develop exchanges in the field of culture, art, sports as a tool of public diplomacy - that’s my goal,” Kimura said.
Thank you!
