“The idea of creating a headquarters (volunteer battalions - editor's note) arose after the events in Ilovaisk, when the commanders of volunteer battalions saw how their battalions were drawn into hostilities, and were “grinded” there, often artificially. Although at the moment I do not have specific facts that would indicate that this was a trap into which volunteer battalions were specially led,” he said.
“It happens that commanders of volunteer battalions report certain intelligence information to the ATO headquarters, which can reach another section of the front where another volunteer battalion is located and save lives there. But such important information stops somewhere in the bureaucratic army corridors,” Yarosh said, as quoted by the publication inforesist.org.
“The volunteer movement is still a brotherhood. And there must be mutual assistance and cooperation between them. Up to 20 battalions are ready to participate in the activities of such an operational headquarters. The guys want representatives of the volunteer movement to be given places in the National Security and Defense Council, the General Staff, and the ATO command. This is not an alternative to the General Staff, it is a certain lever of influence on the situation, since we have thousands and thousands of armed people behind us, and we are of the opinion that the state comes first, and Ukrainian statehood cannot be harmed,” the leader of the Right Sector emphasized.
