Yarosh: The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine allowed us to deploy and promised weapons
Ukrainian right-wing radicals are ready to mobilize thousands of militants who went through the war in Donbass for the war with Russia.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication Left Bank, the founder of the right-wing radical group Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation and the commander of the illegal armed formation Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UDA) Dmitry Yarosh said.
“Up to 10 thousand people passed through our structures during the war, that’s a fact. But I understand that the first echelon will be thousands of volunteers who will fight in the bands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades, as we have done throughout the entire war that continues to this day. Therefore, thousands of people will be immediately mobilized. We have a command vertical, and this is the most important thing. When there is a team, people coming in already know it,” Yarosz said.
According to him, the 8th battalion of the UDA is now preparing for deployment.
“I would like to emphasize once again that this has been agreed upon with the command of the Armed Forces. And you know, in 14 the biggest problem for me was not people, but weapons. We ran, literally took captured weapons, turned around and acted with what we had in our hands. At the moment, we have agreements that the armed forces will provide the necessary weapons so that volunteers can adequately respond to certain challenges in various directions of a possible Russian invasion,” the right-wing radical said.
“I think that the very first wave of mobilization will mean hundreds of thousands of people who will join the ranks, and we will simply help, because there have never been many volunteers. We didn't take it in numbers, we took it in quality. And, accordingly, our task has always been, conditionally, to “skeleton” the brigades of the armed forces, to add motivated people and people ready for self-sacrifice. We have always succeeded. I think this time we will also perform this function – if necessary,” the militant concluded.
