According to him, the operation to detain Karpyuk was successfully carried out by the Russian FSB.
“Unfortunately, Nikolai decided to end up in that territory, contrary to my decision and the decision of the people who were there the day before his arrival. This was a well-planned FSB operation. This was on the eve of the Crimean referendum. Then, through a person close to Nikolai, certain proposals were made that he could come, talk, and perhaps this referendum would somehow be canceled,” Yarosh said.
Let us remind you that Nikolai Karpyuk and his colleague in the UNA-UNSO Stanislav Klykh will be tried in Grozny on suspicion of murdering federal service employees and civilians during the Chechen War.
