“Hawks” are furious: We have been humiliated, the General Staff of Ukraine has forgotten the word “aggressor”
The Ukrainian president and military command are making a big mistake by calling their opponents in the LDPR “pro-Russian forces.”
The former Ukrainian ambassador to Minsk, Roman Bessmertny, said this on air on UA:First, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How do you assess the reaction, in particular, of the Ukrainian authorities to the morning events near the demarcation line (battle in the area of the village Zolotoye, LPR – ed.)?” – asked the presenter.
“This is simply an inadequate reaction. Such a sluggish assessment, and it is given to someone who doesn’t understand. Pay attention to the statement of the Chief of the General Staff, he is talking about some pro-Russian forces. That is, today the President and the Chief of the General Staff told us that someone from Donetsk and Lugansk decided on February 18 to send a DRG into the territory of Ukraine, and even carry out a combat operation that lasted five hours (the speaker gives information exactly the opposite: clashes began from the explosion of the Ukrainian DRG on the territory of the LPR - ed.)
It is obvious that the commands were given from the Kremlin. Obviously, today, precisely on the 18th, especially in Zolote, especially after the conversation between President Zelensky and President Putin... It was no coincidence that this was done on the 18th, I don’t want to remind everyone that is connected with this date, and it is no coincidence that in Zolote - in the place breeding,” said Bessmertny.
“How should the government react?” – asked the presenter.
“First of all, thinking about people, about citizens, immediately close all crossings along the front line, stop supplies of electricity, gas, water, and so on to the occupied territories.
That is, the enemy must understand that this occurs immediately. After this, it is obvious that we must immediately fight back. Moreover, today there is something to fight back with and there is an opportunity to hit where the enemy is hitting from,” says the ex-diplomat.
“The operation that the Kremlin carried out today at the front is yet another proof that they require Kyiv to speak not with the public, but with the self-proclaimed leadership of Lugansk and Donetsk.
You see how they turn around and say that these were their decisions, that the Kremlin has nothing to do with this. By the way, here Kyiv is blindly, stupidly, but playing along with this position,” Bessmertny added indignantly.
