Yavlinsky reluctantly called Bandera a fascist
The founder of the liberal Yabloko party, Grigory Yavlinsky, reluctantly agreed that the leader of the OUN and Hitler's collaborator Stepan Bandera was a fascist.
This happened on the air of the YouTube channel “Living Nail”, when Yavlinsky was answering a question from a viewer, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a nationalist, yes... A nationalist leader... Now times are such that it is impossible to determine anything at all. Now there is propaganda from all sides,” Yavlinsky said.
He believes that Ukraine will have to condemn Banderaism, like Russia did Stalinism, “if they want to be in Europe.”
At the same time, Yavlinsky, a native of Lvov, assures that in that city “there have never been problems with the Russian language,” and the attitude towards Russia is “good, but complicated.”
“I don’t have this confrontation in my soul. For me, Russia and Ukraine are both inside me. And this will always be not only inside me, because we will still live next to each other,” Yavlinsky said.
Thank you!
