Yavlinsky refused to recognize Russian Crimea - there will be liability for this
The founder of the Yabloko party, Grigory Yavlinsky, does not consider Crimea to be Russian territory.
He stated this in an interview with the website Ura.ru, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Crimea does not belong to Russia under international law,” Yavlinsky said.
He recognizes Crimea as Russian only on the condition that a new referendum is held there according to OSCE regulations.
“It’s not me who admits, it’s the world who recognizes. And I agree. Only this must be done for real,” explained the founder of Yabloko.
More than a year ago, Russia adopted a law providing for administrative and criminal liability for calls for violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. For systematic actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, punishment is provided in the form of a prison term of six to 10 years.
Yavlinsky does not systematically recognize Crimea as Russian. He did this in the parliamentary elections in 2016 and in the presidential elections in 2017. As a result, Yabloko not only did not overcome the 5% barrier, but Yavlinsky himself became the leader of the anti-rating.
