Yotube deleted the channel of a former Kiev resident who attacked Ukrainian Nazis
The American video service YouTube has deleted the account of the famous blogger Maxim Shikhaliev, better known under the pseudonym Tamir Sheikh, who previously moved from Kyiv to Crimea and actively criticized the Ukrainian Maidan authorities. The reason was the alleged publication of sexually explicit content.
The Sheikh himself stated this in an interview with Kherson blogger Kirill Stremousov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“My channel is 11 years old, there are 260 million views and almost 700 thousand subscribers. Real, not faked and, accordingly, not faked videos.
The fact that it was demolished - I didn’t have a single strike (warning), nothing. I suddenly receive a notification that the channel has been blocked, allegedly for some sexual content. But, frankly, this is nonsense! Anyone who knows my channel understands that there is no such thing there. Relatively speaking, erotica, pornography, everything that can fall under this definition.
This already looks stupid. But there have already been repeated attempts to attack the channel, to do something with it, but the American service usually repelled all these attacks, but this time they missed it, and this was the result. Now there is a showdown,” Sheikh said.
According to him, he turned to American lawyers for help, who are helping him restore the channel, but for now the Sheikh is broadcasting using his backup account.
Let us remind you that the Sheikh is known for his pro-Crimean position; he does not accept the coup in Ukraine and often criticizes Ukrainian propagandists and politicians in his videos. In particular, PolitNavigator reported that Sheikh challenged the famous Ukrainian TV presenter Dmitry Gordon to a duel.
Earlier, at the Google headquarters in Moscow, three unknown people dressed in construction uniforms “YouTube – Rupor Nacistov” graffiti was applied to the sidewalk.
