YouTube is preparing to block Medvedchuk's channels
Following the ban on broadcasting of TV channels NewsOne 112 and ZiK, the Ukrainian authorities plan to achieve a ban on their broadcast on the American video hosting site YouTube.
Propagandist Miroslava Gongadze, who works for the Voice of America media funded by the US State Department, stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gongadze, negotiations with the video hosting administration are already underway.
“Issues of disinformation in the United States are considered very seriously; there are special departments and even a special department in the State Department that deals specifically with issues of such radical channels, disinformation channels on social networks. Therefore, this work regarding the possible closure of extremism on social networks has been going on for a long time.
These are, in principle, parallel steps, if the Ukrainian authorities have taken such a step. I know that these discussions are ongoing with YouTube management, so most likely there will be some decisions,” Gongadze said.
