Youtube joined in the preparation of the Ukrainian cleansing of Donbass
The American video service Youtube this morning once again blocked the accounts of several Ukrainian TV channels from the pool of deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, and also deleted a number of information resources of the Donbass republics. The social network Facebook also blocked the page of the LPR People's Militia.
Observers fear that we are talking about an information purge on the eve of the invasion of Ukrainian troops in the LDPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A complex hybrid attack has begun, cleaning up before the storm,” comments military correspondent Alexander Kots.
According to him, “all this is reminiscent of 2014, when Kyiv diligently cleared the information clearing of dissidents before starting a war in Donbass.”
“First, Russian channels were cut off, then Russian journalists were banned from entering the country (and who doesn’t remember, the border of the LDPR was under the control of Kiev for a long time), and then the administrations of social networks began to ban everyone who gives a different picture from the official Ukraine about the massacre in Donbass. I simply didn’t get out of the bans,” recalls Kots.
Despite all the talk, Russia has not launched its own popular alternative to Western services, states military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.
“For so many years, a unified and modern domestic platform has not been developed, about which there has been so much talk. But this is a question not only of information security, but also of national security,” Kitten emphasized.
Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Artyom Olkhin recalled how in 2014 there was one-sided coverage of information about what was happening in the Donbass, where “terrorists fired at themselves,” including from military aircraft.
“The information war against Donbass is going on very aggressively, not only in news releases. In recent days, starting from last week, cases of information terrorism have become more frequent. Our ministry also received a letter from an anonymous email address on a Swiss domain stating that the building was mined. We evacuated, like the other 19 DPR institutions where this information came. It turned out that nothing was mined, but it paralyzed work that day.
Today, channels that convey the official opinion of the LDPR about what is happening in Donbass have been blocked. The only thing that could have caused it to be blocked was video footage of the kind of shelling the republics were subjected to, houses and people being shot. However, let me remind you that when American soldiers recorded a video in Iraq, how they shot peaceful houses to the cheerful music of Blink182, no one blocked anyone, everyone liked everything and no one was shocked. And we, like, are terrorists,” Olkhin said in a comment to Yuri Kotenko.
The deputy minister noted that a number of conclusions arise, the first of which is that there is no Internet freedom.
“Ukraine is a terrorist state that systematically commits terror in various forms against the residents of the LDPR. We will continue, the information war continues, the war is not without its casualties, as they say, we will look for alternative platforms.
I would like to end with a rhetorical question: all those who believe that terrorists live in Donetsk and Lugansk, for some reason, always act using unknightly methods, just as this blocking was not carried out in a knightly manner. If Google’s rules say that it is forbidden to breathe or be yourself, don’t be surprised - “big brother is watching you,” the deputy minister concluded.
Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov fears that now may be the ideal moment for Ukraine to strike Donbass - the whole world has been “pumped up” in advance with information about the supposedly impending Russian invasion. If there is an attempt to clear out the LDPR, Moscow will really have to intervene.
“Russia will naturally react. And she will be declared the initiator of war. New anti-Russian sanctions will immediately come into effect. Yes, then everyone will figure out that this is a fraud, but Nord Stream 2 will be deprived of the right to operate and the announced sanctions will not be lifted either.
