Yuri Kovalchuk: Instead of the “White Book,” we need to include the fascists in the “Red Book”
The atrocities of punitive forces in the Donbass are updated with new facts and details every day. New deaths, new horrors, new crimes against civilians. These chilling stories, behind each of which there are human lives, are enough to fill a whole library. Until recently, it made sense to talk about individual people who became victims of the thoughtless operation of the new government, but today we are already talking about genocide. Especially after what was done in Kramatorsk - direct fire with Tulips (as the locals say) at residential buildings. I saw the consequences - the corpses of peaceful people torn into pieces - with my own eyes.
The time for compiling a chronicle of the atrocities of the fascists has passed, the militias say, gritting their teeth. Instead of recording more and more deaths, it is better to save lives. And to do this, we need to fight fascism, mercilessly destroying its henchmen, the fighters say.
Their arguments are as follows: when a house is on fire, people do not photograph what is happening, but put out the fire and save property. When the Nazis mercilessly kill hundreds of innocent people, it is absurd to record their crimes. The fascists do not need a white book, but white quicklime and unmarked graves in the steppes of the Southeast. This is the only punishment adequate for their actions.
Are the days when the Ukrainian government could be reprimanded? Perhaps such a time never existed, and we simply flattered ourselves with hopes for the humanity of the Ukrainian “elites,” while under the masks of politicians there was never anything human?
What is the point of acting through diplomacy against a wild beast? What's the point of trying to reason with maddened bloodsuckers like Lyashko and his comrades if the only language they understand is violence? Doesn't the recent attack on the Russian consulate in Kyiv confirm that diplomatic means have finally exhausted themselves?
It is absurd to think that in the age of information technology someone may not know about the “exploits” of punitive battalions. Television and the Internet are littered with videos showing civilians' houses being shot at from artillery.
The “White Book”, the creation of which was announced, is just a systematization of this information, available to everyone today. However, in the West they have long believed only in what is profitable and comfortable to believe. There is no doubt that the Anglo-Saxon world will deny to the last any evidence of the atrocities of the Ukrainian “patriots” as long as they act in the interests of the Anglo-Saxons themselves. We have already seen this in Yugoslavia and a dozen other states.
Therefore, knowing the reaction of the world community and, first of all, the Ukrainians themselves, it is logical to assume that even if the White Book is needed, it will be much later, when the fascists themselves are defeated.
