Yuri Loza reproached Odessa for the lack of resistance
Musician Yuri Loza believes that on the fifth anniversary of the massacre of citizens in the House of Trade Unions, the majority of Odessa residents demonstrated submission to the established nationalist regime.
Loza wrote about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The entire day yesterday on the Internet was dedicated to the terrible tragedy that occurred in Odessa five years ago. All caring people remembered the innocent people killed and those who died in the fire of the House of Trade Unions, and also threatened the executioners with inevitable heavenly punishment.
And only the million-strong hero city Odessa itself reacted more than modestly. Moreover, a few Nazis again marched brazenly and unceremoniously through the streets of the “pearl by the sea”. And no one tried to disperse them, no one joined the partisans, not a single “Voroshilov shooter” bought a rifle.
Well, yes, there were relatives of the victims at the scene of the massacre, some people talked about an upcoming investigation, but I don’t really believe it. It seems as if Odessa residents for the most part believe that nothing special happened five years ago. At least that's how it looks from here. Or is it just me? – wrote Loza.
“Thousands joined the militia, this time. Some tried to do justice themselves - that's two. One of them is now in prison and no one even includes him on the list for exchange,” military correspondent Sergei Belous, who works in Donbass, disagreed.
“For the masses of Odessa residents, May 2 is a black day, yes, there is rot that rejoices, but this is a very low percentage, at the level of 3..5%. Do you see the point in jumping on imported clowns with torches, who are covered by the security service and protected by the police? Is this to pack people up and put them in a pre-trial detention center? Yes, then cool, of course, there will be a picture for the media, Soloviev and others like him will film a couple of programs, unforgettable, unforgivable. And this is where all the support will end, and people will sit down for years, will someone help their families? We learned everything about help and support in 2014-2015,” Odessa resident Andrei Pronchenko explained the lack of protests.
