Lawyer: Charges against Medvedchuk – stuffing Matroskin’s cat three years ago
The accusations that the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova and the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov voiced at a briefing after the searches of Viktor Medvedchuk are simply a retelling of an old publication, that is, the SBU has no real evidence of Viktor Medvedchuk’s guilt.
Lawyer Elena Lukash stated this on air on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The insecure head of the SBU and the same Prosecutor General are passing on some episodes to each other in the spirit of how in the cartoon Prostokvashino, Uncle Fyodor, the cat Matroskin and the Dog wrote a letter to their parents. While they were talking, I Googled it and it turned out that they were retelling an article that had been published by Radio Liberty, which was funded by America. That is, there was such a reading room - they read a story published in 2018. They stupidly retold this article in their own words.
I immediately had a question: if you know that since 2018 there has been an ongoing crime related, in your words, to the deprivation of Ukraine’s assets (gas, the value of subsoil and something else), what are you doing under President Zelinsky? Are you accomplices in this crime? The task of the law enforcement system is not only to pursue, but also to stop crimes, that is, in 2021 you are reading an article from 2018, saying that this is some kind of sensation about Medvedchuk, but what have you been doing for two years?
You had to bring in the culprits and stop the illegal activities. It turns out that all law enforcement officers from the moment they received these tapes in 2019 are accomplices in the crime - they themselves admitted this at their press conference after reading the article.
