Concord lawyers intend to achieve justice in the lawsuit against Shevchenko
Lawyers for Yevgeny Prigozhin filed an appeal in the libel case against journalist Maxim Shevchenko. About the details of the case said Olga, press service of the Concord company.
According to Prigozhin’s representatives, the plaintiff’s side does not agree with the decision of the Savelovsky District Court, which considered the businessman’s claim for the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation. The defendants in this case were journalist Maxim Shevchenko, editor of the Dovod resource Ilya Kosygin and Limited liability company (SIA) Medusa Project.
The businessman’s lawyers explained that in court the defendants did not deny that their resource actually posted offensive and false information about Yevgeny Prigozhin, but the court did not take this into account. The legal service considered his verdict illegal, which became the reason for filing an appeal to the Moscow City Court.
«Let us note that at the trial the defendants did not deny either the defamatory nature of the disputed information or the fact of its dissemination. The court considered that the disseminated false information that is offensive in nature is not negative for readers and does not have sufficient informational value.”, - reported the press service of the Concord company.
