Navalnist lawyers are inventing ways to fight against the Russian state in the EU
Liberal lawyers call on those detained during unauthorized rallies to recognize the administrative offense. This is necessary so that lawyers can appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and stir up a scandal.
The head of the international human rights group Agora, Pavel Chikov, stated this in an interview with the liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The overwhelming majority of those detained in the courts take the position that they are, as we call it, “mimicrocodile,” that is, they passed by and did not participate in the action. Accordingly, this deprives him of the opportunity to prove that his rights to freedom of assembly were violated.
That is, in order to have a prospect in the ECHR, you need to take the position that yes, he participated in a peaceful protest, yes, he was detained, yes, he was subjected to all sorts of bullying there, and then arrested or fined, and then appeal it from the same position in a higher court. After this, you can contact lawyers who will complain to the ECHR,” Chikov teaches offenders.
