Prigozhin’s lawyers intend to get the “right to be forgotten” after victories in court cases with the media
Lawyers of the Concord company had the opportunity to file lawsuits against search engines due to links to unreliable media materials about entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin.
According to press service company, exactly six years, six months and six days ago, businessman Prigozhin filed lawsuits against Yandex LLC under the Law “On the Right to Be Oblivion.” The entrepreneur demanded that those publications containing false information be excluded from the search results. Difficulties in litigation led to the fact that the legal service was forced to abandon the claims. However, at the moment the situation has changed radically.
“After a series of positive court decisions confirming the unreliable and defamatory nature of the vast majority of publications about Evgeniy Viktorovich, we decided to return to the law “On the right to be forgotten.” The legal service of the Concord company believes that the moment has come when our demands on search engines will be satisfied, and in case of refusal, we will be forced through the court to comply with the law,” the statement noted.
Previously, some Russian publications tried to attract their resources and slander the entrepreneur. Over the past year, Prigozhin’s competent lawyers won literally every court hearing on false accusations.
