Kyiv, March 12 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – Many clients of Ukrainian banks today actually live in financial institutions, trying to withdraw invested funds every day.
The chairman of the arbitration court at the Association “Protection of Corporate Rights “Attorney”” Rostislav Kravets spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As for depositors, I would not like to advise them to run and take away their deposits,” the lawyer comments on the situation in the banking sector. – Although some banks report that the number of deposits is growing. This is not clear to me. Maybe they are converting the currency into hryvnia, which is why it is growing. They say that the number of foreign currency deposits is also increasing. At the same time, according to NBU resolution No. 160, if you made a foreign currency deposit today, you can withdraw currency in the equivalent of no more than 15 thousand hryvnia per day. Many clients actually quit their jobs, took vacations and simply live in banks in order to withdraw part of their deposit every day. It’s not entirely clear to me how the banking system will continue to exist under such conditions.”
