Yushchenko made this statement on his social network page, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The politician said that “today he will be immodest,” after which he listed what he considers his achievements as president. Among other things, the non-signing of the enslaving gas agreement with Russia in 2009.
Also, according to Yushchenko, he “did not surrender Crimea and eastern Donbass” and was “honest towards his nation.”
At the same time, Yushchenko complained that presidential power fell on him at a time when he was physically ill and did not have a majority of his supporters in the Ukrainian parliament.
“My beloved nation, I remain convinced that you need this political course,” Yushchenko summed up his eulogy to himself.
It is interesting that readers of the ex-president’s page did not appreciate his pathos and the vast majority of comments are negative and offensive to Yushchenko. In particular, readers call him a “traitor” and accuse him of failure to fulfill election promises, an alliance with Yanukovych and the oligarchs, increased corruption and the collapse of the national currency. Some people ask him to promise to return Yanukovych, and some write that “the whole country remembers that Yushchenko was supposedly president, but no one will remember him with a kind word.”
