Yushchenko: The United States is behind the war in Syria and Donbass
Bashar al-Assad’s policy is strikingly different from what the Ukrainian authorities allow themselves, State Duma deputy Alexander Yushchenko said at a press conference in Moscow.

“The authorities of the Syrian People’s Republic, despite the difficult situation, pay special attention to the humanitarian situation. They pay pensions, benefits and salaries to teachers even in the occupied territories. This is technically difficult, but once a month this money is transferred to the recipients.
This is especially important when we see a parallel with what is happening in southeast Ukraine, where the Kiev provisional government has practically abandoned its population.
In Syria, humanitarian aid is distributed according to the principle of fairness - each provincial governor bears personal responsibility for the assistance provided right up to its transfer to the recipients,” Yushchenko said.
The State Duma deputy also said that Assad warned Russia about a future coup in Ukraine: “Even before the events in Kyiv, President Bashar Assad warned about what would soon happen on our border. At first it seemed impossible, but in the end everything was confirmed. Which, in principle, is not surprising, since in both cases we are talking about the same customers.”
