Yushchenko complains that Ukrainian churches glorify the Moscow army
Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko reproaches Ukrainians - parishioners of churches of the canonical UOC. According to him, you cannot be a citizen of Ukraine and go to churches of the UOC - this, they say, is unpatriotic.
The ex-president voiced his thoughts on the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you are not subordinate in spirit to the Moscow metropolis, this already says a lot about your sovereignty, your freedom and independence. How can you go to a temple that blesses the Moscow army to fight against Ukraine, which glorifies the Moscow army that is waging war in Ukraine, and be Ukrainian? There are such people, I do not evaluate them, it is their choice. I don't accept this choice. To change this, we need to put this issue on the agenda,” Yushchenko said.
