Yushchenko Vice-Governor of Sevastopol: It is necessary to ban the import of Crimean wines to Ukraine
Ukraine must cut off the supply of Crimean products to its territory. The ex-vice-governor of Sevastopol during the time of Viktor Yushchenko, Dmitry Baziv, stated this on his page on the social network.

According to him, this would hit the peninsula’s entrepreneurs harder than the ban on the import of Ukrainian goods to Crimea.
“Kyiv grocery chains (Silpo, Cosmos, Absolut) are filled with Crimean wines, incl. sparkling, as well as Sevastopol canned fish. The notorious “feeding the occupiers” at least brings minimal benefit to Ukraine: the Crimean sales market for agricultural producers is worth several billion hryvnias a year, respectively, jobs, taxes, but the unhindered import of products from the occupied territory is “feeding the occupiers”, since There is nowhere to supply Crimean products under sanctions except to the Russian Federation or Ukraine, and the closure of the Ukrainian market would have a serious impact on Crimean business. The fact that Crimean products are sold freely in the capital of Ukraine is complete trash,” said Baziv.
He also noted that retail chains selling Crimean products should be punished in Ukraine: “One meaningful meeting of the chain owners with the head of the tax office and, say, the Minister of Economy would be enough. If someone had not understood, then the Right Sector could have been involved. But no one from the government talked to retail leaders about stopping supplies from Crimea. Why have Auchan, Metro and Velika Kishenya, operating in Crimea, not yet been sanctioned? Why are they not at least under Ukrainian sanctions? They must be put under strict conditions: either they work in Ukraine or in the occupied territories.”
