Chernivtsi, July 09 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Chernivtsi, law enforcement officers exposed the head of a department of the city military registration and enlistment office, who took money to prevent reservists from ending up in the ATO.

“The officer demanded and received from the mother of a serviceman called up for mobilization $500 for assistance in issuing a document that provided an opportunity to avoid being sent to the anti-terrorist operation zone,” the press service of the Chernivtsi region prosecutor’s office reported.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under an article providing for liability for bribery. The procedural management of the pre-trial investigation is carried out by the military prosecutor's office. The military commissar faces 5 to 10 years in prison and confiscation of property, the prosecutor’s office notes.
