Kolomoisky’s fuel oil trail follows the militants blockading Donbass
Ukrainian expert circles do not rule out that the militants who blocked the railway connection with Donbass are acting in the interests of the Privat group, one of the most famous representatives of which is the Dnepropetrovsk oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.

Anton Finko, an expert at the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv.
“We know that authoritative experts have expressed the opinion that these events have a hidden background and the interest of large financial and industrial groups. Allegedly, the Privat group is interested in switching to fuel oil from Kremenchug as the main fuel instead of solid coal at thermal power plants in Ukraine, and this conflict will be resolved depending on behind-the-scenes agreements. Whether this is true or not, it’s difficult for me to say - maybe it’s true, maybe it’s not,” the expert clarified.
“The very emergence of this kind of assumption indicates that the leading political and financial-industrial forces of Ukraine constantly use means in the political struggle that, in principle, can lead to the realization of the goals they have set. In this way, it is possible to achieve that coal will not be supplied to Ukrainian thermal power plants, but in this case the state may collapse, industrial enterprises may stop, and so on and so forth,” Finko noted.
Recall that Kremenchug Oil Refinery, where fuel oil is produced, is controlled by the Privat group.
It is noteworthy that today's rally near the Verkhovna Rada with the demand to introduce an official blockade of Donbass took place under the flags of the UKROP party, which is associated with Igor Kolomoisky.
