Why did they freeze on the Maidan? Ukrainian exports to the EU continue to decline
Exports of Ukrainian goods to the European Union continue to fall, despite the signing of an association agreement between Kyiv and the EU and the creation of a free trade zone. The reason is the non-compliance of Ukrainian products with European standards.
This was stated at a round table on the security of Ukraine by the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Economics (SRI) under the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Doctor of Economic Sciences Igor Mansurov.

“In 2015, our exports to EU countries decreased by 38%. And this despite the fact that the European market was opened to us. Why? Because our products do not meet the standards. And every year this situation will worsen. This is problem number one,” he said.
As you know, the signing of an association agreement with the EU also resulted in the closure of the Russian market for Ukraine. Before this, Moscow offered Kyiv participation in the Customs Union, billions in loans and preferential gas prices.
