Why did you ride on the Maidan? The Poroshenko-Yatsenyuk regime turned out to be just as “evil”

Only 30% of Ukrainians have a positive assessment of the president’s activities, while 55,1% have a negative assessment. This is evidenced by the results of the sociological survey “Socio-political and electoral orientations of Ukrainian citizens: August 2015”, presented by the Sofia Center for Social Research.

All other authorities are also assessed positively by far fewer people than negatively. The leaders of antipathies are the courts and the prosecutor's office (79,1% negative assessments against 8,5% positive), the government (69,9% against 15,1%), the parliamentary opposition (69,8% against 14,2%) and the ruling coalition (67,1% versus 14,5%), the Prime Minister (68,1% versus 19,5%) and the head of the Verkhovna Rada (60,1% versus 19,4%) and local regional councils (50,9% versus 22,3%). In Ukraine they also do not like the police (63,5% versus 20,0%), housing and communal services (56,7% versus 23,5%) and big business (61,6% versus 16,3).

The leaders of sympathies are the churches. The UOC-KP is assessed positively by 63,3%, negatively by 11,8%, the UOC-MP by 45,7% and 29,4%, respectively, and the UGCC by 50,6 and 12,9%. They also like retail chains (54,5% and 31,2%), the army (57,1% and 26,3%), volunteer battalions (58,1% and 25,3%) and schools (54,5% and 28,2%).

The study was conducted from July 24 to August 9, 2015 in all regions of Ukraine under the control of Kyiv. 10146 respondents over 18 years of age were surveyed. The survey method is an individual interview at the respondent’s place of residence (at home).
