This was stated by the deputy chief - head of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Kharkov region, Nikolai Fomenko.

According to him, at this time not a single version has been completely rejected, but two remain priority: a crime related to the professional activities of the mayor, as well as a version related “to the separatist movements in Kharkov.”

“Everyone remains, but these two are priority,” Fomenko noted.

As Navigator reported, on April 28, an unknown person seriously wounded Kernes in the back with a firearm while he was jogging in the morning. Among the preliminary versions, “personal hostility” was also voiced.
