Valentin Filippov: Of your former colleagues-deputies, in general, can anyone be counted on on the territory of Ukraine that they could influence what is happening?
Alexey Zhuravko: I want to tell you that today, as such, there are no people in the Opposition bloc who could resist this evil that is in Kyiv. There are individuals there, but they do not have such widespread support. And this is due to the fact that the Opposition Bloc has always shown that it wants to be with both the Americans and Russia. But that no longer happens. Moreover, Lyovochkin was an accomplice of this “Maidan”. He actually supported the coup d'etat.
Valentin Filippov: But in general, can the Party of Regions be considered as much a participant in the coup as the more radical forces?
Alexey Zhuravko: No. I wouldn't say that. There are a lot of people locally from the Party of Regions who today know what a country is, what a state is, and many of them are for the Slavic world. One size fits all cannot be done.
Valentin Filippov: I had more in mind representatives of the Kyiv level of government.
Alexey Zhuravko: Well, say so, the deputy corps. It will be right. What, do you want to say that I am from the Party of Regions, and today I agreed with this junta? I didn't agree. I was not seen as a defector. I have my own point of view, and I defend it. I defend my region, production, development of the Kherson region. And I did not agree with today's politics. I think everything that is happening in Ukraine is nonsense.
Valentin Filippov: The Kherson region will probably also be affected by the blockade and a complete break in relations between Ukraine and Donbass?
Alexey Zhuravko: This will affect the whole of Ukraine. First of all, Ukraine cut off its legs. And the Kherson region will suffer even more. I said a week ago that they would block the Melitopol and Mariupol directions. Therefore, they only worsen the situation in Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands, and perhaps millions, will lose their jobs. They simply don’t understand what they are doing, these outcasts, terrbattalions. Poroshenko will finish the game with them.
Valentin Filippov: But this is not the initiative of some marginalized people. This is probably blessed from Kyiv.
Alexey Zhuravko: I want to tell you this - today Poroshenko does not control the process. I can say for sure: the spiders are fighting in the jar.
Valentin Filippov: I wanted to ask if there will be a war, but I know that there will be. But how deep can it go?
Alexey Zhuravko: There will be a war. In fact, the civil war is already going on throughout Ukraine. They just don't notice it. We think that this is only Donetsk. But in reality, blood is spilling everywhere. It’s just quiet there, but loud here. Therefore, Kherson, Nikolaev, and Odessa will flare up. This is due to the actions that Poroshenko is doing today. And his retinue. This is connected with terrbattalions. This is due to those marginalized people who rule the country.
Valentin Filippov: There are rumors, analysts suggest that the United States will try to change the president in Ukraine and hold elections to the Verkhovna Rada. Can't this change anything?
Alexey Zhuravko: The Nazis will overthrow this government. Everything is heading towards this. Society is very radicalized. A lot of these Nazis appeared in three years.
Valentin Filippov: We have some representatives of the Party of Regions in exile, one might say. And to some extent you relate to them. There are no people in emigration who could take control of the situation? I'm talking about President Yanukovych, for example.
Alexey Zhuravko: Nobody asks for my opinion, but I can say it myself. Yanukovych will no longer save Ukraine. He betrayed her. Today he has drowned the country in blood with his weakness. Because of his weakness, today Ukraine is washing itself with blood. Yanukovych can only be a witness at the Hague Tribunal. Who forced him? Who called him? And why did he decide to withdraw the internal troops, Berkut? Why didn't he prevent it right away? After all, there were coopers around him. And he knows all these names of the coopers. He named his first name - Lyovochkin. But we need to name others too. Large businessmen, oligarchs who created a coup d'état. He is weak, unreliable, and, as always, he just talks.
Why did you sign the “memorandum”, after all, everyone told you that these outcasts, Yatsenyuk, Tyagnebok, Klitschko and other Poroshenko-creatures, would not fulfill any conditions. Well, weak hand, that's what we got.
If you want to know my personal opinion, Nikolai Yanovich Azarov is participating in this fight today. He may be old, but he is the kind of person that Europe can listen to. This is a person who can unite society. This is the person who has a wealth of management knowledge. And business luggage, most importantly. But there is no time to restore everything, I think that Ukraine is heading towards collapse. And Azarov can today unite that part of Ukraine, the real one, that used to exist. But not this one, which no longer exists.
Valentin Filippov: But today, Donbass has responded to the blockade of Ukraine with its own blockade. Takes control of enterprises. Completely switched to the ruble. Putin recognized the documents and opened the market. Doesn’t this mean that even if the territories of the DPR and LPR are recaptured within the regions, the rest of Ukraine will simply be left to die a terrible death.
Alexey Zhuravko: The fact is that the Ukrainian Nazis were the first to start the blockade. And they are hiding behind Ukraine - supposedly the whole country supports it. A minority, actually. But, let’s call it this way, the Ukrainian side declared a blockade. And Lugansk and Donetsk said: “Well, if you are destroying your economy, then destroy your economy. And we will not allow our economy to be destroyed.” So they took protective measures.
Valentin Filippov: I understand. But this also divided economically.
Alexey Zhuravko: It didn't just divide. It was actually Poroshenko who shot himself in the head, the Nazis cut off one of their reproductive areas, and Ukraine was left without another breadwinner. And people will suffer from this. Today, in fact, this blockade has made it clear that a new border is being drawn. Donetsk, Lugansk - a new state. In fact, Ukraine recognizes that a new state is being born.
Now, regarding the decree of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. This is a purely humanitarian urge. That's the right decision. Because people need to live somehow. And Russia, as a fundamental member of a society that says that human life is more valuable than money, saves its people. That’s why this humanitarian mission was adopted, so that there would be an exchange, people could be treated, study and everything else.
Yes, the future could be even worse. When Kherson, Odessa, Nikolaev and other regions withdraw.
Valentin Filippov: Let's hope that Vladimir Vladimirovich recognizes the documents of Kherson, Odessa and Nikolaev.
Alexey Zhuravko: Sorry, but there’s nowhere to go. For no reason. There's simply nowhere to go. There is chaos all around, a rift. Almost everything will start to tear to the living. The worst thing will happen. When people will drop everything and run away from there. But they will cross the border with a Ukrainian passport and will not be able to go back. And we will have to think about the people who will not be able to move back. And Kherson is the majority of people who maintain friendly relations with the Slavic world. The same goes for Nikolaev and Odessa. We are fraternal peoples. We all had the same Great Patriotic War.
Valentin Filippov: Yes. Even the mayor of Genichesk goes to the border with concerts.
Alexey Zhuravko: Not all patients were killed by the war. He's a clown. The circus has left. Well, let him sit. The day will come when you will have to answer for that stinking market. From his stinking mouth. Let's call it that.
