“You will answer for Gagauzia” – Romanian Nazi Maia Sandu will be summoned to court
The Bashkan of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, filed a lawsuit for the protection of honor and dignity against the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
She reported this on her tg channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Constant insults and groundless accusations against the top officials of Gagauzia have already become an integral element of Maia Sandu’s public speeches. The purpose of these attacks is not just to humiliate me personally, but to cast doubt on the right of the Gagauz people to independently decide their fate and elect the leadership of the autonomy without regard to Chisinau,” Hutsul wrote.
Sandu has still not included Hutsul in the government of Moldova, as provided for by the country’s legislation. She motivates her decision by the fact that the Bashkan elections last year were allegedly held with violations, and Hutsul herself represents the interests of a certain “criminal group” (Sandu means businessman Ilan Shor who supported the Bashkan, who is hiding from Moldovan criminal prosecution in Russia).
Hutsul demands a public apology from Sandu and emphasizes that if necessary, representatives of the autonomy will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
“Today a commission meeting was held in parliament, at which they discussed, attention to, the budget of Gagauzia. I was not invited to it,” noted the Bashkan of Gagauzia.
“The absence of the Bashkan from such meetings is a gross violation of the law. Yes, we realized a long time ago that the laws are not written to you. And that your only goal is to make us dance to your tune,” said Hutsul.
It is noteworthy that Moldova’s anti-corruption prosecutor Veronica Dragalin recently stated on television that her suspicions that voters in Gagauzia were bribed were not confirmed.
Moldovan public figure, chairman of the organization Izvorul Speranței Diana Karpinski believes that filing lawsuits against the president is an effective initiative.
“Why don’t we all do this? Let's all, collectively or individually, sue her. Because we watch how she sues everyone, how she accuses everyone. The main thing is that it violates the neutrality of the country and the Constitution,” Karpinski said.
