This was announced by the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Children’s Rights Nikolai Kuleba during a round table meeting “Formation of policies regarding children in Ukraine during the crisis.”
Thus, according to Kuleba, today in Ukraine the trend towards a decrease in the number of children continues.
“During the years of independence, their number has decreased by more than 5 million. In addition, the birth rate has decreased significantly, which is now lower than the level of simple reproduction of the population,” says the commissioner.
