Queues all over the world are lining up for Putin calendars
Calendars for 2019 featuring Russian President Vladimir Putin have caused quite a stir abroad.
Izvestia writes about this, citing the British Guardian.
“Residents of Japan, where paraphernalia depicting the Russian leader has always been popular, are complaining about the lack of new calendars, which have taken first place in terms of sales in the country. Such data is provided by a chain of stores that has exclusive rights to sell them. The calendars will soon go on sale in the US and UK. Users of social networks from these countries are already looking forward to purchasing a popular item,” the publication writes.
It is noted that in the calendars, each month is marked with a separate photograph of the Russian president, and the most popular was the photo of the president in the snow with his dogs, among which you can see an Akita Inu puppy, donated by the governor of Akita prefecture in northern Japan in gratitude for his help in eliminating the consequences of the disaster at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in March 2011.
