For “Crimea is not ours” on the cards – arrest and fine
Cartographic materials that challenge the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation will be classified as extremist materials.
The corresponding bill was adopted today by the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the first reading, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Instances of printing booklets and cartographic products in which certain parts of the Russian Federation are classified as other states have become more frequent. For example, Crimea, the Southern Kuril Islands, and other territories. This kind of information material, as a rule, is a hidden form of propaganda, which is carried out from abroad and is aimed at creating distorted ideas about the state border of the Russian Federation among the Russian and world public,” said deputy Ernest Valeev, who presented the bill.
For the mass distribution of such materials, administrative liability is provided: for individuals - a fine or arrest for up to 15 days, for legal entities - a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
