This information was shared by the speaker of the DPR Supreme Council Ezhuard Basurin at a briefing in Donetsk.
According to him, “Ukrainian soldiers, tired of constant deception and non-payment of salaries, are increasingly disobeying the orders of their commanders.”
As an example, Basurin cited an incident that occurred in the 54th separate mechanized brigade, in which 25 servicemen refused to fire at civilian settlements, and the officer had to shoot at them to stop protest sentiments in the unit.
“According to data received from a source in the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers of Ukraine, over the past week, about one hundred and twenty military personnel voluntarily left the location of military units and turned to the organization for help. And these are only those who applied,” added Eduard Basurin.
According to him, chronic understaffing of Ukrainian Armed Forces units forces the Ukrainian military command to include nationalist formations, including Islamist ones, in its staff.
“For the same reason, we note an increase in the number of mercenaries from Europe and the Middle East arriving and actively trading in the ATO zone,” he added
