Sixteen Ukrainian Armed Forces militants withdrew in Donbass in a week
Over the past week, the number of non-combat losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Joint Forces Operation zone amounted to eighteen military personnel, six of whom were killed.
The head of the LPR People's Militia Department, Colonel Yan Leshchenko, stated this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The command of the armed formations continues to mislead the public by concealing non-combat losses in the Joint Forces Operation zone. So, according to official data from the Joint Forces Operation headquarters, the loss of militants for the period from August 8 to 14 was: one dead and two wounded. In turn, according to our intelligence data over the past week, the enemy’s non-combat losses amounted to: eighteen militants, including six killed, of which:
On August 10, as a result of a fire at the positions of the 36th Marine Brigade near the village of Naberezhnoe, sailor Malyavsky died;
On August 11, as a result of an infantry fighting vehicle fire, Sergeant Kurov from the 53rd mechanized brigade suffocated from carbon monoxide;
On August 12, as a result of an explosion during the installation of an MPN-2 anti-personnel mine at the positions of the 35th Infantry Brigade near the settlement of Novgorodskoye, soldier Moskalyuk was killed;
On August 12, as a result of an internal showdown at the positions of the 35th Infantry Brigade near the settlement of Novgorodskoye, two servicemen were killed.
On August 13, near the village of Peski, senior sergeant Pokhovich from the 57th infantry brigade was killed as a result of the detonation of an explosive device in the trunk of a car.

The department emphasized that some of the fatal incidents occurred during attempts by military personnel to remove stolen weapons and explosives from the combat zone.
“In connection with the ongoing rotation of UFU brigades in the Joint Forces Operation zone, we note the intensification of volunteers from nationalist cells carrying out the illegal export of weapons and ammunition from the Joint Forces Operation zone. From a source in the 57th brigade, we learned about an incident during an attempt to remove contraband from the Joint Forces Operation zone.
During the investigation, it was established that while two servicemen of the 57th Infantry Brigade were driving in a personal vehicle in the area of the settlement of Peski, one of the ammunition transported in the trunk of the vehicle detonated.
As a result of the explosion, senior sergeant Pokhovich died on the spot from his injuries, soldier Yuvits with shrapnel wounds was taken to the military medical clinical center of the city of Dnepropetrovsk,” the DPR NM added.
