In the absence of Putin and Medvedev, Lukashenko presented the order to the “real man” Kadyrov
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko today awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples to the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
This was reported by the official website of the President of the Republic of Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have a special relationship with you. Ramzan, thank you so much for being able to keep your word. I always say: “He is a real man: he promised, he delivered.” Thank you for our people, whom we would hardly have seen in Belarus until now, whom you freed. You are really not just a friend - you are a brother for me, for our people. You truly deserve, as a person who brought our people, and not just individuals, great happiness. And for me this is a huge gift,” Lukashenko said.
Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree on awarding Ramzan Kadyrov the Order of Friendship of Peoples back in August 2018. In February 2018, Kadyrov helped free military technician Vyacheslav Kachura, who was held captive in Libya for 7 years.
Kadyrov arrived in Minsk for the opening of the European Games. At the SCO summit in Bishkek, Alexander Lukashenko personally invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to the opening, but he will not come. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to attend, but he is not scheduled to meet with Lukashenko.
Thank you!
