NATO frigates will loom behind Poroshenko’s new attempt
Petro Poroshenko will not miss the opportunity to use the NATO exercises in the Black Sea as PR before the second round of elections with the slogan “NATO is behind me!”
Russian military expert Ivan Konovalov stated this on TVC, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that NATO exercises in the Black Sea will take place from April 5 to 13, when Ukraine is preparing for the second round of presidential elections, scheduled for April 21.
“We know what happened in the Kerch Strait last time. There was a breakthrough that was intercepted, everything was clear. What might happen next time? Another breakthrough, against which two NATO frigates will loom, but nothing more. Believe me, they will never interfere in the situation, they will never cross the red line. But the fact that they will appear there, and then it will be written and photographed in the entire Western press,” Konovalov said.
“Not in November, but before that, when Ukrainian ships took a pilot, received permission, passed through the strait, and then shouted that they didn’t ask anyone anything, they jumped out of their pants. And if in this situation there are NATO ships in the background, then there is a wonderful design: Poroshenko says: “I said that NATO is behind us, we passed (and there was a pilot there, everything was according to the law), here I am, here is NATO, look, What can I do, NATO is behind me!” – noted presenter Artyom Sheinin.
