The publication recalls that citizens of the Russian Federation, most of whom fought on the side of the LDPR, were lured by Ukrainian special services to the territory of Belarus, promising that from Minsk they would fly to Venezuela under a contract. At the same time, Ukrainian security forces informed their Belarusian colleagues that these people had arrived to destabilize the situation in the country before the elections.

The newspaper also notes that the Russian competent authorities uncovered the entire plan of the Ukrainian special services, transferred all the details to Minsk, after which the son of President Lukashenko apologized to the detainees, and they were returned to Russia.

“For the competent authorities, clarity came a long time ago - even when our citizens were detained in Minsk. Even then, it was reliably established that the Ukrainian special services were behind what was happening, which was announced on August 7. It was 100 percent proven that air tickets for the group were purchased by specific individuals on the territory of Ukraine, and fake phone numbers were purchased “in absentia” from Kyiv,” said a source in the Russian intelligence services.

He also noted that over the past month, new data has emerged indicating Ukraine’s involvement in this special operation. For example, an advertisement for hiring security guards on behalf of Rosneft was posted on September 25, 2019, using the IP address of the Russian company Reconn, which was rented by Alexey Anatolyevich Kutsyn, a citizen of Ukraine, who lives in Kharkov.

True, the SBU and the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine denied involvement in this special operation.

“Well, who likes to admit failure. I want to look like winners. Hence the contradictory statements and actions, deliberate and unintentional leaks to the Ukrainian media and the Internet. Add to this the outright shock of the Ukrainian authorities from the realization that their dirty plans to exploit a seemingly friendly country have been revealed. And now we will have to explain ourselves to the CIA,” says the publication’s interlocutor.

In addition, participants in the operation from Ukraine were named.

“And we recommend that the future temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada or independent journalists go to the house 5\7 on Patorzhinsky Street in Kiev, where the 5th Directorate of the SBU Counterintelligence Department is located, go up to the third floor, open the doors to 309, 314, 315, 316, and It’s better to go to office 317, find there, for example, an employee of the 2nd department of the 5th Directorate, Vladislav Dolgozvyaga, and ask him to get him out of the safe a case that interests everyone. […]

You can also ask the head of the counterintelligence department of the 3rd Directorate of the SBU Main Directorate for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Alexey Zagainov, and his deputy Dmitry Turevich, how their vacation went after the “labor of the righteous” - these employees also know something about the preparation of the operation.

The legal side of the case can be clarified by the senior investigator for especially important cases of the 2nd department of the 1st department of pre-trial investigations of the Main Investigation Department of the SBU, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Alexander Stanislavovich Tomusyak.”

“Among the unintentional and deliberate leaks mentioned above, one concerned a CIA station officer “T”, “well-known in the circles of the Ukrainian intelligence services,” who was aware of the operation and participated in adjusting its plan,” the source adds. “Those who wish can watch at the US Embassy in Kyiv, the official representative of the CIA, Timothy James Skovin, or his first deputy, Brian Thomas O’Byrne, and if they want, they will tell you a lot of interesting things.”

The source says that the initial plan was to lure Russian citizens of interest to the Ukrainian special services into a trap, but at the final stage, at the instigation of the Americans, an additional, more global, strategic goal appeared - to create a split in Belarusian-Russian relations.

It is noteworthy that on July 30, the day after the arrest, the Ukrainian side surprisingly quickly prepared extradition documents, since it knew in advance who to issue them to, or issued them in advance.

It was also said that the success or failure of this kind of special operations is assessed by the final result.

“You have to look at the scoreboard, like in hockey. And today we see on it that Russian citizens are in their homeland. Official Kyiv, including the Ukrainian special services, do not know how to restore trust with the neighboring country. In Ukraine itself, they are “cheating zrada” directly in the circle of President Zelensky. Everyone saw how the Ukrainian special services know how to lie. The CIA overestimates the degree of trust in its Kyiv colleagues. What is this if not a failure? We don’t know what the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate called this operation among themselves, but the name “Boomerang” definitely suits it: it was launched and returned,” the source emphasizes.

At the same time, he avoided a specific answer to the question of when the Russian side became aware of this operation.

“At a very specific stage, which made it possible to return our citizens home safe and sound and solve a number of other problems without compromising the security of our country,” the interlocutor said.
