NABU and SAPO prosecutors detained six people as part of an investigation into the embezzlement of state budget funds for the “Wall” project.

The NABU press service reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Among those detained are officials of the State Border Service and contractors. All of them are now being taken to NABU in Kyiv to serve written reports of suspicion, NABU reports.
Also, to clarify the circumstances, NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors are conducting searches in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, Chernigov and Kharkov.
“At the same time, the collected evidence is being assessed and the issue of detaining other persons is being resolved,” the message says.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office discovered a criminal embezzlement scheme involving the misappropriation of budget funds on an especially large scale in the “Wall” project. Some senior officials of the State Border Service are suspected of embezzling millions of public funds for the implementation of the “Wall” project on the border with Russia.
