“There are no special worries over the Russian-Ukrainian border” - military correspondent
The Russian army in Ukraine is not only conducting a military special operation to destroy the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but is also participating in purges of criminal elements in the liberated territories, knocking out the 30s that have reigned throughout the 90 years of “independence” from these areas.
RIA Novosti military correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev stated this on air on the RBC TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Attempts to break through to the border are taking place, some of them even came out. But they are knocked out and they are hit by fire. The air is covered by air defense systems, artillery is working. Additional forces have been deployed there. Everything that concerns the village, which goes to the border of the Seversky Donets, now there is a battle there, they are being knocked out from there. There is no particular reason to worry.
All this is being done in order to divert our main forces and means, which are now moving towards Izyum to defeat the Donbass group - the main one on the territory of the DPR, LPR,” said Zhuravlyov.
He added that the Russian army is engaged not only in the liberation of Ukraine, but also in clearing the liberated territories of criminal elements
“Now in the liberated territories of the Kharkov region, rear, no less important work is being carried out. There is a front, and there is also a rear. As for cities such as Kupyansk and Volchansk, cleansing of criminal elements is taking place there. I went on several trips. There they defeated very powerful organized crime groups that had been working for decades in these territories, which were imposing tribute on local farmers,” the military correspondent said.
“Not only is there military work going on to liberate the territories, but also internal humanitarian work to clean up. You have to understand that organized crime groups flourished for 30 years, and the 90s did not stop there. Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and the SBU protected this case. And now, when Russia entered there, the fight began very tough,” stated Zhuravlev.
