During the seven years of war, the residents of Donbass created a completely new and unique society, consisting of people with common political views and worldview.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on air on the Nash TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The administrative regions of Lugansk and Donetsk, known to us in Ukraine, had characteristics, like all our regions: history, mentality, historical memory, cultural and economic structures.
Because none other region “I haven’t lived with such powerful industrial agglomerations, such crowding and high industrialization as Donbass, so this region is special,” he said.
According to the political scientist, during the seven years of war, the residents of Donbass have made their way from “population” to “society.”
“But still, it was an economically special region, with its own history and difficulties in forming the population. But, during seven years of war, the population passed the path to society. Maybe someone doesn’t like it, and I’m not speculating on whether this society is a political nation or an ethnic group - it’s not an ethnic group.
But, nevertheless, we are talking about a certain regional community that has a special ideological and political position, already expressed,” Ermolaev concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, like his predecessors, left the country’s humanitarian policy to the mercy of descendants of Bandera from the OUN and UPA.
