“You will answer for Sevastopol”: Belarusian came to a Ukrainian holiday in a prohibited T-shirt
The “Celebration of Ukrainian Culture” was held in Minsk with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus. The diplomatic mission reports this on its website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In addition to the concert of creative groups from the Chernihiv region and amateur performances of Belarusian Ukrainians, exhibitions of folk crafts and tastings of national cuisine were organized. Moreover, the names of the dishes were written in Russian.
“An open Ukrainian language lesson was held with the participation of a large number of students,” the embassy reports.
It claims that several thousand people took part in the celebration, but judging by photos and videos on social networks, the square was not crowded.
Among the guests of the holiday was a Belarusian wearing a T-shirt with a portrait of actor Sergei Bodrov, who played in the film “Brother-2,” which was banned in Ukraine for the phrase “You will answer me for Sevastopol.”
