The United States is behind the demolition of monuments to Soviet soldiers in Poland and the Baltic states

The pro-American ruling regimes of Poland and the Baltic countries intimidate the population with the “Russian threat”, demonize the USSR and the Red Army in order to justify the presence of the US military contingent on their territory.

This was stated by Polish political scientist Mateusz Piskorski during a conference dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by Soviet troops, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, for the same reason there is a massive demolition of monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators - otherwise it is difficult for the population to explain why on the territory of these countries there are monuments in gratitude to the soldiers of the Red Army, whom propaganda has now declared invaders.

“If the governments of Poland and other countries in the region try to justify the military presence of the US contingent on their territory, they are obliged to create an image of the enemy, they are obliged to constantly repeat to the population about the existence of the so-called Russian threat.

Why is this important from the point of view of history, why is history falsified precisely from these political or geopolitical considerations - because if, on the one hand, politicians repeat non-stop about the existence of a modern Russian threat, and, on the other hand, on the streets of many cities in Poland There are monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators, monuments to the Red Army, then these are contradictory historical narratives, since Poland was actually liberated at the cost of the lives of more than 600 thousand Red Army soldiers who died on our territory.

Therefore, the authorities present Russia as the eternal enemy of any Polish statehood. So all this has purely political goals and objectives,” Piskorsky said.

Let us recall that attempts are being made in Europe to expose anti-Russian propaganda. Thus, the Czech branch of the “Immortal Regiment” in 2020 released the film “The Price of Victory”, which tells about the common struggle of the soldiers of the Red Army and the First Czechoslovak Corps against Nazi Germany.
