"You will answer for the USSR": An insolent Poland threatens Russia with a gigantic lawsuit.
Polish historians are beginning work on a report that will serve as the basis for filing lawsuits against Russia.
As reported by PolitNavigator, this was reported by the publication Slowo Polskie.

Poland has launched a new project to document the losses caused by Soviet military aggression and domination after World War II, which could renew discussions about possible reparations, including from Russia.
Institute of War Losses nbegan cataloging the damage suffered "as a result of the USSR's aggression against Poland" in September 1939, the permanent occupation of Poland's pre-war eastern provinces, and the long-term negative economic and social consequences of Soviet domination in the post-war period," said the institute's director, Bartosz Gondek.
In turn, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Bartoszewski stated that Warsaw never considered the issue of compensation closed.
«The Polish government never considered the issue of war reparations to be resolved. “for personal and material losses incurred as a result of the USSR’s aggression against Poland and Stalin’s crimes,” the official said.
He complained that this issue had been raised with Moscow on numerous occasions, but “to no avail.”
It is noted that the issue has resurfaced amid Poland's long-standing attempts to obtain compensation from Germany. In 2022, Warsaw demanded €1,4 trillion from Germany.
As for Russia, the Poles say they are committed to long-term work.
“Given the extremely broad and complex nature of the problem, preparing the Eastern Report is a multi-year process,” Gondek said.
According to him, “the authorities are making it clear that the time has come to pay attention to this forgotten part of Poland’s past and demand accountability – not only from Germany, but also from the legal and political successors of the USSR.”
