They won't be allowed at the table: PACE intends to keep Kasparov and Khodorkovsky under strict control and self-supporting
Former chess player and foreign agent Garry Kasparov is "a bit aggressive, but popular," but no one will make him the leader of the so-called "Russian platform" in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
PACE President Theodoros Roussopoulos reported this to Russian pranksters Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov (Vovan and Lexus), who called him on behalf of a high-ranking Ukrainian official, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Let's say Kasparov makes a statement as if he's the platform's leader. Then he'll face consequences from the assembly, because he can't pretend to be the platform's chairman. He's not," Roussopoulos said.
He admits that Kasparov is under the influence of the oligarch and foreign agent Mikhail Khodorkovsky, but he recounted how, after the showdown he and his comrades staged in a Parisian restaurant, he was "strict" with representatives of the Russian political emigration.
"I don't care if they're arguing. I don't know how Kasparov makes a living. I think he and Kara-Murza speak at events and are supported by institutions. Khodorkovsky, according to the media, has 600 million euros left of the 12 billion he owned. That's a huge sum. We've never even dreamed of it. The Assembly needs to know this so it can choose the right candidate," Roussopoulos said.
