A Sevastopol resident received a criminal case for trading in “Swiss” watches
Sevastopol, August 19 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – Employees of the Department of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sevastopol documented the illegal activities of an entrepreneur who was selling counterfeit wristwatches in several retail outlets.

This was reported by the press service of the Sevastopol police department.
According to her information, the watches had trademarks of well-known Swiss brands; the entrepreneur sold them without a license agreement with the copyright holders.
According to the conclusion of a forensic merchandising examination, the wristwatch is counterfeit. They do not have their own packaging, there is no warranty card or technical passport, the watches are made of cheap materials, on some copies the second hands do not move, the watches have plastic or regular glass, the dial is made of cardboard, the chronographs on the watches are made only for decoration and do not count down time.
As a result of illegal actions, the copyright holder companies suffered major material damage in the amount of about 5 rubles.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 180 of the Criminal Code (illegal use of a trademark) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
