“The Russians will take revenge for Zelensky’s triumph in the United States with Kyiv’s “calibrations”” - Ukrainian ex-minister
The Russian Federation wants to ruin the aftertaste of Ukrainian President Zelensky’s “epoch-making” visit to the United States through a massive missile strike on the Kiev region with the aim of provoking civil unrest in the capital.
The ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, and now the Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna, Alexey Kucherenko, stated this on the channel “Factory of News”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“God grant that we gradually improve the current situation, but it will not improve dramatically until the end of the heating season. Firstly, very serious damage was caused to the energy system, first of all, to the unified system, of course, the generation of the system suffered, not to mention the fact that the system does not have a Zaporizhzhya NPP with six units.
Unfortunately, there are problems in fuel resources - both gas and coal are not in the best condition. And lastly, but most importantly, we are absolutely not immune from the fact that we need to expect new attacks literally every day. Especially after Mr. President’s very successful, powerful, epoch-making visit to Washington and speech with Biden in Congress. It is clear that there will be a reaction, I expect it in the very near future.
We pray for our armed forces, for our air defense systems, but still the enemy finds its tactical mechanisms for attacks, and this last attack on the 19th, unfortunately, was effective, I must admit,” Kucherenko said.
He also shared the conclusion that the next missile attacks on the energy sector will be concentrated specifically on the Kiev region.
“They tried this in Odessa 2-3 weeks ago, with such ring strikes they really destroyed the energy system of Odessa, and now they will concentrate on the Kiev region.
Why is absolutely clear. Because there is a very powerful concentration of people here, a political concentration, here you can very effectively get in such a way as to cause discontent, and further provoke people into indignant discontent. And the goal is that at some point people, without water, without heat, without electricity, will take to the streets and begin to demand something, like peace at any cost,” the ex-minister worried.
