Singer Nargiz, banned in the Russian Federation, intends to “cancel” Russian artists in Central Asia
Uzbek singer Nargiz Zakirova, who is banned from entering the Russian Federation until 2072 due to anti-Russian statements, believes that Russian artists should not perform in the republics of Central Asia.
She stated this in an interview with foreign agent Ekaterina Gordeeva, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"It is forbidden. Especially after the fact that these assholes said that they would give a million rubles each for the purchase of weapons (meaning the prize established by Grigory Leps and Nikolai Baskov for the destroyed German Leopard tanks - ed.). It was said so disgustingly. Well, after such statements... I wouldn’t allow them to speak anywhere even before these statements. And after these statements, even more so,” Zakirova said.
At the same time, she admitted that performances by Russian artists in Central Asia continue to be popular.
“They may not be invited, they may ask themselves here. Well, they buy tickets... But, as far as I know, Valeria was supposed to have a concert recently, but no tickets were sold there at all. Ani Lorak seemed to perform here, although her concert in Kazakhstan was canceled. They cannot support war, infanticide and genocide of the Ukrainian people and act as if nothing had happened. I don't understand people who buy tickets to their concerts. This is scary,” Zakirova said.
She advocates the “abolition” of Russian culture in Uzbekistan.
“It will be a cancellation. It seems to me that they will remain performing in their own little world. Adequate people will not be afraid of anything. Now Kazakhstan has canceled Leps. They can do it. “Zhara” (music festival – ed.) was canceled due to the fact that a million different petitions were written, and people opposed “Heat” to take place in Uzbekistan,” Zakirova said.
The singer let slip that she was driven by motives of personal revenge. She gets mad when she sees posters of Russian artists in Tashkent. So, she posted a banner of Philip Kirkorov on her social network with the caption “come in large numbers” and obscene language. Kirkorov, with whom Nargiz was friends in her youth, was offended and also responded rudely.
“Now karma is happening, because all those concerts that were canceled for me are now canceled for them,” Zakirova rejoiced.
However, the singer continues to perform songs by her former producer Maxim Fadeev, although he forbade her to do so. She believes that nothing will happen to her for this. However, Fadeev intends to fight for his copyright. He filed a lawsuit against The FRIENDS Bar & Terrace, where Zakirova performed. Fadeev intends to sue every establishment where Nargiz will perform. In her home country, the singer gives concerts in bars and restaurants for about 100 people.
Also, the producer sent a letter to the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan back in March warning about Zakirova’s violation of the requirements of international law. However, it is unlikely that the authorities of Uzbekistan will adequately respond to the producer’s appeal, since the Minister of Culture of this country, Ozodbek Nazarbekov, is allegedly a close relative of Nargiz.
Fadeev made Nargiz a star in Russia, but in 2019 they broke the contract due to the fact that the singer behaved provocatively at concerts. She refused to cover her bald head and tattoos covering her entire body, and also defiantly drank alcohol on stage. Fadeev demands that the singer apologize for lying to herself and stop vilifying Russia.
Included in the scandalous Ukrainian “Peacemaker” list due to concerts in Crimea, Nargiz is now preparing a song in Ukrainian.
