“Even children’s things were taken away”: a resident of Krasny Liman during the looting of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Before the complete liberation by Russian troops, the city of Krasny Liman was subjected to looting and looting by Ukrainian militants. Windows were broken in houses, locks were torn off, and even blankets, pillows and children's things were taken from people.
A video with the testimony of a city resident was published by the DPR Territorial Defense Headquarters, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am a resident of the city of Krasny Liman. From the beginning of the operation on February 24 until now, I have been living here and have not gone anywhere. Until May 24, I saw all the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Let’s just say that there were no good actions, I saw looting, how they entered houses, tore off locks, broke windows, took things from people, and took out what they needed. That is, the necessary things that are needed for their life - pillows, mattresses, blankets,” says the woman.
“We lived in people’s basements, on our street they placed their equipment for shooting, between houses and in courtyards, and along the streets, and in vegetable gardens, they dug in right in the courtyards. Let’s just say, it’s not very nice when you come to your home and even your children’s things have been taken away.
Let them bring it to their children and say that they took it from other children,” said the woman, who asked not to show her face, as she still fears persecution from the Ukrainian authorities.
